PIKLON Entertainment a film and media production company was
founded in 2006 by Emmy Award winning Director James Hanlon and
Producer and Media Specialist Darren Capik.
PIKLON Entertainment is moving forward
from the success of James Hanlon’s award winning 9/11
documentary film which has been seen by over 100 million people
worldwide, earned 6 million dollars for UFA Fireman’s charity
and garnered Mr. Hanlon with an Emmy, Peabody Award, Edward R.
Morrow Award, Satellite Award and is distributed globally by Ben
Silverman’s Reveille. Pursuing a slate of leading edge
documentaries exploring the human condition and compelling areas
of history PIKLON has just finished their first feature titled,
POPWHORE – A new American Dream”, and are currently shooting a
film on Fashion Models of the 1950s titled “You Can Pay The Rent
– The Life and Times of 50’s Cover Girls”. PIKLON is looking to
an exciting future of film production in both the documentary
and feature fields.
JAMES HANLON
- DIRECTOR. (DGA –MEMBER) first film 9/11 which aired on CBS in
2002 and then again with updates on the 5th anniversary 2006,
has earned Hanlon several awards : The Emmy Award , The
Peabody Award , The Edward R. Murrow Award For Excellence in
Broadcasting and The Satellite Award . Hanlon a retired FDNY
member has been in the entertainment business for years. He has
guest starred in over 15 primetime TV shows, including NYPD
BLUE, all of the LAW and ORDER series , Sex and the City …he has
worked with directors such as : Martin Scorsese , Sidney Lumet
and Stanley Tucci to name a few . Hanlon had appeared on the NY
and Regional stages before he ever became a NYC fireman: in over
25 plays. Born in the Bronx NY, Hanlon now splits his time
between NYC and LA.

DARREN CAPIK
– Is currently producing and directing PIKLON Entertainments
2nd documentary feature about fashion models in the 1950’s. He
is also an accomplished producer of numerous DVD titles in the
fitness and well-being category as well as President of Brand
Media Partners which is a leading international licensing agency
for documentary films and special interest titles.
